Decor up your kitchen walls with navy wallpaper and more

Blank walls are frankly pretty uninteresting, but all it takes may be a simple makeover to show them from blah to wow. You'll use decorative stickers, wallpaper or, for a more personal touch, make your own kitchen wall decor with navy wallpaper. The blank walls function your canvas and you'll let your creativity run free. Here are some easy projects to urge you started:

Paper Plate Collection

The porcelain one is such a classic, but why not provides it a contemporary twist and use paper plates? Either find plates in colors, shapes and patterns you wish and display them as is, or use them as frames but putting a photograph, recipe or artwork within the center.

If you would like to guard the image , cover everything with a coating of a transparent varnish or sealer (such as Mod Podge).

Silverware

Vintage silverware make exciting wall decor, and it's more fun to point out them off instead of leaving them stacked during a drawer. Showcase their luster using simple frames.

Group them in pairs or in several sizes and hang on your wall. Shadow boxes make great holders as well; display them alternately with the frames.

Confirm to use a robust adhesive that will hold the silverware's load - you do not want them coming crashing through the glass once you least expect it!

Framed Recipes

Most folks have a couple of favorite recipes we return to again and again, and why not put them on the wall? A pleasant thanks to display them is by mounting them on rectangular aluminum fluted tart tins.

Enlarge and print your recipes on a delightful specialty board, trim to suit into the tins and apply glue. Spray polyurethane sealer on the surface to seal and achieve a sheen effect.

This is often an excellent , good way to display cherished handwritten recipes from earlier generations.

Artwork

If you reside during a rented apartment and are not allowed to place nails within the walls, decorate with vinyl wall art stickers.

These are peel and stick decorative arts which are available a spread of fun designs.

I recently found some humorous "kitchen" wall quote stickers that became great conversation pieces.

Mirrors

Mirrors are decorative, but most folks don't think to place them within the kitchen.

The very fact is that they work even as well there - an outsized mirror with a gilded frame can look fabulous during a stark white kitchen and provides just the proper unexpected touch.

Or use frameless mirrors such as you would plate - group several together.

Kitchens are often the last spaces to receive those extra decorative touches, but since they're usually the place everyone finishes up gathering at parties despite our efforts to urge guests to be comfortable within the living or dining room, they deserve the maximum amount attention as the other area of the house.
